BetMGM, one of the largest operators in the country’s iGaming industry, has just launched an online casino in Pennsylvania.

This makes BetMGM the thirteenth online casino to go live in PA since it was legalized in the state back in 2019.

BetMGM first applied to launch under a qualified gaming entity license (QGE), but then decided to opt for partnering with a land-based casino in PA.

The operator struck a deal with Hollywood Casino to use its license, and will now be able to offer a sportsbook platform on top of its online casino.

BetMGM had a soft launch from Dec 1st to 3rd where players were given limited access to a selection of games.

On December 4th, the online casino proceeded with a full launch and is now available to users 24/7.

In a press release, BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt commented:

We’re thrilled to bring BetMGM’s online casino offering to Pennsylvania.

With more than 140 different games, including our own in-house progressive jackpot network, we’re delivering the widest range of content currently available in the state. Alongside MGM Resorts and its M life Rewards program, BetMGM will provide players with a truly unique entertainment experience.”

PA players can access BetMGM online casino on desktop or mobile devices (Android and iOS) and start playing online slots and casino table games including blackjack, roulette, and video poker.

Live dealer games are expected to be added to the PA library in the future.

BetMGM has also brought its award-winning VIP program to the state which will allow users to earn points towards rewards at MGM properties.

A few of these locations include the Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, MGM National Harbor in Maryland, and Borgata in New Jersey.

Players could earn points towards complimentary dinners at the above locations, perks at the hotels, as well as free money to use on the online casino.

About BetMGM

BetMGM is one of the biggest casino and sportsbook operators in the country, both on and offline.

The company is the child of MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, as well as sister casino to Borgata, PartyCasino, and PartyPoker in NJ.

BetMGM reaches over 90 million people spread across multiple states including Tennessee, Colorado, Indiana, West Virginia, and New Jersey. This is due to its partnership with Boyd Gaming, as well as availability at different MGM owned properties.

Recently, the casino announced a new partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the first for the sports team. While BetMGM doesn’t have a sportsbook available in PA yet, it is expected to come in the next few weeks.
